Chimborazo Tour
Why take this tour?
- Come and hike on the Chimborazo Volcano, the closest point to the sun from 4800 meters, along the trail of the refuges, visiting the second Whymper Refuge and the condor lagoon at 5100 meters or whymper needles (5280masl).
- You will learn about the local indigenous culture, their clothing, Kichwa language, with masks and folklore dance with the guides.

PRICE: $65 X person (minimum 2 persons) discount for 3 and 4 persons, if you are traveling alone, ask us and we will help you.

Itinerary
- 08:00 Pick up from your hotel in Riobamba.
- 08:45 Typical Riobamba cocktail (canelazo)
- 09:30 Hike in the great canyon of Chimborazo for about 20 minutes knowing its plants, animals, and visiting the viewpoints next to the volcano, acclimatization altitude is 3600 meters.
- 10:45 Arrival and registration at the Chimborazo Wildlife Reserve (4300 masl)
- 11:00 Hike from the first refuge Carriel brothers (4800mnsm) passing the second refuge whymper (5000msnm) and for 10 minutes more we reach the lagoon condor cocha (5100msnm) but if your condition is super good you can walk more to the snow or walk more to the needles of whymper (5280msnm).
- 14:00 Return to the restaurant
- 15:00 Lunch
- 15:30 Return to Riobamba
- 16:00 End of tour at your hotel
