Itinerary
Day 1
- 08:00 The trip starts at your hotel in Riobamba, hotel Chunchi or designated place.
- 08:45 Visit the Balvanera church
- 09:15 Visit to the Guamote lookout point
- 11:00 Visit to the Alausi viewpoint.
- 11:30 Lunch in Chunchi
- 12:30 Start of trekking to Puñay from 2548 masl to 3270 masl in approximately 3 hours to the summit.
- 14:00 Arrival at Cerro Puñay, we set up the tents and move to the viewpoint to witness the incredible sunset over the blanket of clouds.
- 17:30 is the time when the sunset starts, so you should have your video and photography equipment ready.
- 16:00 Mountaineering dinner and camp enjoyment
Day 2
- 07:30 Mountain breakfast
- 08:30 Return to the base in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, where the transport will be waiting to take us back to the city of Riobamba.
- 14:00 Arrival to the city of Riobamba and end of the tour.
